The Deacons finish ahead of two top 10 teams.

FORT WORTH, Texas - After a tightly contested battle with No. 1 Stanford and No. 3 Oregon, the No. 9 Wake Forest women's golf finished in a tie for third place through three rounds of tournament play at the Charles Schwab Spring Collegiate in Fort Worth, Texas.

Senior Carolina Chacarra started the Deacs off on the right foot after she began her day with a birdie on a 520-yard par five. Chacarra recorded back-to-back clean cards and remained one stroke under throughout her entire morning to record another top-five finish of her individual career and finish three under par.

Freshman Chloe Kovelesky also boasted a spotless start to the day and finished her day T11 with an even-par during round three to secure another top-15 finish in her young career.

Junior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen added another top-20 finish to her career, following a tournament total of seven birdies and one eagle to finish T19 and four strokes over par. Sophomore Macy Pate completed her tournament T28 and 217 (+7) including five birdies through her three days of competition.

After a mistake-free second half of round two to finish her first day, graduate Sky Sload logged the Deacon's third card under par before the turn and climbed 10 spots from her previous position to finish T60 and two strokes under during round three.

With today's third-place finish, this marks the Demon Deacons fifth top-three finish of the 2024-25 season.
