- A sacrifice fly off the bat of center fielder Cam Nelson put Wake Forest on top, 3-2, for the first time in the top of the sixth.

FROM COACH WALTER
"Disappointed we couldn't get Griffin Green that win, he pitched really well. We had a 5-2 lead with six out to get and gave up four runs there in the eighth. It was a combination of walks and plays that weren't made. It's disappointing. Obviously, didn't get it done offensively tonight. We only had one hit after the Jack [Winnay] homer in the seventh. We only had one hit after that and it was an infield hit. We didn't get it done offensively and we've got to bounce back tomorrow. We need a good outing out of Blake Morningstar." - Head Coach Tom Walter
