
Kennon and Meisel Named to NCAA Division I PING All-Region Team

Seniors Scotty Kennon and Marshall Meisel were two of 25 players named to the East Region.
CARLSBAD, Calif. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced their NCAA Division I PING All-Region team Saturday afternoon, placing two Wake Forest men's golfers on the team.
Senior Scotty Kennon earned GCAA/PING All-Region accolades for the second-straight season, while senior Marshall Meisel was named for the first time in his career.
Players across six regions and 82 schools earned all-region honors in 2025.
Both seniors are ranked within the top-40 of the PGA Tour University rankings, with Kennon ranking No. 27 and Meisel at No. 33.
Both Kennon and Meisel are currently competing this week at the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif., looking to add to their lists of individual honors.
For the second consecutive year, the Ponte Vedra Beach native has claimed PING All-Region honors. He leads the Demon Deacons with a 71.42 stroke average and posted five top-10 finishes victories over his senior season.
Throughout his career as a Demon Deacon, Kennon has claimed two individual titles.
Kennon captured his first collegiate title at the Calusa Cup in 2024 shooting six-under par, and at the time, he set a tournament record. Kennon claimed his second collegiate title at the 54th Furman Invitational with a score of 202 (-11), the lowest 54-hole score in the history of the tournament. Kennon's second title was highlighted by three under par rounds, including a low five-under 66 in round three, tallying six birdies and carding just one bogey.
This is the first time Meisel has garnered All-Region honors. Posting five top-10 finishes over the 2024-25 season, Meisel has the second-lowest stroke average on the team, boasting a 71.52. Additionally, he has been the Deacs top finisher for the team for the past three consecutive tournaments.
In his outing at the Battle at Briars Creek,, Meisel shot three under-par rounds of 71-69-70 to finish the tournament tied for fourth at 6-under par, just one stroke short of the individual lead. This was the Chevy Chase, Md. native's second top-five finish of his senior season, and second of his career
