
No. 20 Wake Forest Continues Opening Stretch against Davidson and Longwood

The Demon Deacons travel to face the Wildcats on Friday, before opening the 2025 home schedule against the Lancers.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 20 Wake Forest field hockey team looks to get back on track this weekend, with action split between a trip to Davidson on Friday and the home opener at Kentner Stadium on Sunday.
The Deacs will take on Davidson on Friday, September 5, at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+, followed by a Sunday showdown with Longwood at 1 p.m. ET on ACC Network Extra.
Opponent History
Wake Forest is 40-17-2 all-time against Davidson, holding a 29-match win streak against the Wildcats dating back to 1992.
The Demon Deacons have faced Longwood just 11 times in program history, with a 7-2-2 ledger against the Lancers, including a five-match win streak.
