Demon Deacon Duo Competes at Penn Relays

Graduate student Gavin Ehlers posted a time of 29:26.05 to secure a fifth-place finish in the men’s 10,000 meters, while sophomore Grant Morgenfeld recorded a time of 14:10.14 in the men’s 5,000 meters.

PHILADELPHIA – The Wake Forest track and field team continued its outdoor slate as graduate student Gavin Ehlers and sophomore Grant Morgenfeld competed at the Penn Relays on Thursday night at Franklin Field.

Ehlers led the way for the Demon Deacons as he posted a personal-best time of 29:26.05 to secure a fifth-place finish in the men's 10,000 meters. Additionally, Thursday's result improved the Westhampton Beach, N.Y., native's previous career mark by over 13 seconds.

Meanwhile, Morgenfeld recorded a time of 14:10.14 in the men's 5,000 meters earlier in the evening.
