Demon Deacons Release 2026 Fall Tennis Schedule

Wake Forest returns nearly its entire roster following another historic season and NCAA semifinal appearance.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Coming off of an ACC Championship and third-straight NCAA semifinal appearance, head coach Tony Bresky officially unveiled the 2026 fall slate for the Wake Forest men's tennis team Tuesday afternoon.
The Demon Deacons return nearly their entire roster from a 34-4 campaign that saw Wake Forest claim its fifth ACC regular season championship, fourth ACC Tournament title and another trip to the NCAA semifinals.
"The guys are excited to get back out there and compete individually after another incredible season as a team," said Bresky. "We have a lot of experience returning, and we're excited about what Emanuel brings to the group. The fall is always an important opportunity for our guys to continue developing their games, compete against some of the best players in the country and put themselves in position heading into the spring."
The Slate
The Demon Deacons will open the collegiate portion of the fall at the ITA All-American Championships, held Sept. 19-27 in Tulsa, Okla. The event provides one of the premier individual tests of the fall season and serves as the first opportunity for Wake Forest players to compete for qualification into the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
Wake Forest will then compete at the ITA Carolina Regional from Oct. 8-12 in Columbia, S.C., before individuals will conclude the fall at either the ITA Sectionals in Charlottesville, Va., or the ITA Masters in Rome, Ga., on Nov. 5-8.
The fall will once again conclude with the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, scheduled for Nov. 17-22 in Athens, Ga.

In addition to Wake Forest's collegiate events, Demon Deacons will have opportunities to compete on the professional circuit throughout the fall, with ATP Challenger and ITF events scheduled across the United States.

Returning Production
Wake Forest returns the majority of the group that helped the Demon Deacons finish 34-4 and advance to the NCAA semifinals in 2026.
Mees Rottgering enters his sophomore season following a breakout freshman campaign in which he earned ACC Freshman of the Year and ACC Tournament MVP honors. Rottgering finished the spring ranked No. 38 nationally with an 18-3 singles record and eight ranked victories. He also teamed with Kacper Szymkowiak for a perfect 16-0 doubles record.
Rottgering carried that momentum into the Winston-Salem Open in August, advancing through qualifying before reaching the Round of 16 with his first two ATP Main Draw victories. The Demon Deacon earned wins over Jan Choinski and No. 14 seed Tomas Machac before falling to Wimbledon semifinalist Arthur Fery.
Luca Pow also returns for his senior season after once again establishing himself as one of the nation's top performers. Pow surpassed 30 singles wins for the third consecutive season and will enter his final campaign with a 10-1 record in NCAA Tournament singles matches.
Kacper Szymkowiak enters his junior season after helping form one of the nation's most dominant doubles teams alongside Rottgering. The duo finished 16-0 together during the spring, including a victory in the NCAA semifinals.
Aryan Shah returns after helping Wake Forest capture the ACC Championship with the match-clincher and continued his form into the NCAA tournament.
Joaquin Guilleme, who led the team with 25 spring singles victories, also returns for the 2026-27 campaign.
The Demon Deacons also return Dominick Mosejczuk, who went a perfect 13-0 in spring singles without dropping a set during his freshman campaign.
Newcomer - Emanuel Ivanišević - Freshman - Croatia
Ivanišević joins the Demon Deacons as the lone newcomer to the 2026-27 roster, giving Wake Forest an experienced group with just one departure from last season.
Ivanišević joins the Demon Deacons following a successful junior career in Croatia and on the international circuit. The Zagreb native finished 2025 ranked No. 63 in the ITF junior world rankings, while collecting six junior doubles titles. He captured his first professional title in March 2025, partnering with fellow Croatian Mili Poljičak to win the doubles draw at the ITF M15 event in Poreč.
He also reached the quarterfinals of the J300 tournament in Beijing in singles and the semifinals in doubles. The son of Croatian tennis legend and 2001 Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanišević, Emanuel also earned his first ATP ranking point in 2025.
National Success
Wake Forest enters the fall having reached at least the NCAA semifinals in each of the last three tournaments and five times since 2018. The Demon Deacons captured their fifth ACC regular season championship in 2026 and won their fourth ACC Tournament title under Bresky.
The Deacs also established themselves as one of the nation's premier doubles teams last season, finishing 75-11 in doubles while claiming the opening point in 35 of 38 matches. Rottgering and Szymkowiak went a perfect 16-0 together, while Delgado and Suresh finished the season ranked No. 1 nationally and 15-0 as a pair.
With nearly the entire roster returning and another challenging slate ahead, Wake Forest now turns its attention toward another fall of individual competition before beginning its pursuit of another ACC and NCAA championship in the spring.
