No. 3 Wake Forest Opens ACC Play With Two Home Matches

The Deacs look to earn two ranked wins to start conference play.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 3 ranked Wake Forest field hockey team returns home to start ACC play this weekend.
The Deacs will take on No. 5 Duke on Friday, September 25, at 5 p.m. ET, followed by a Sunday matchup with No. 11 Syracuse at 12 p.m. ET. Both matches will be available on ACCNX.
Opponent History
Friday's matchup with Duke will be the 89th time these teams have met, dating back to 1974. At their last meeting in 2025, Wake earned the 3-1 victory in Durham.
The Deacs will then face Syracuse for another ACC matchup. In last year's regular season meeting, Wake won the overtime battle 2-1.
