She averaged 14.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals for her collegiate career.

Hamby is also a top-five Wake Forest player in several other career statistical areas:
  • Field goal percentage (.516)

In her final two seasons, Hamby twice earned an Associated Press All-America honorable mention nod (2014 & 2015) and All-ACC first team selection (2014 & 2015). She still holds records for single-season scoring (683 points) and rebounding (341), both feats occurring in the 2013-14 campaign. Hamby is also the only player in program history to average 20-plus points in multiple seasons.

Hamby’s junior year in 2013-14 saw her lead the ACC in both scoring (22.0) and rebounding (11.0), becoming the first Demon Deacon to lead the ACC in both categories in the same season, as her scoring output in 2013-14 resulted as the best average in a single season.

Hamby was drafted sixth overall in 2015 WNBA Draft by the San Antonio Stars and is currently a member of the Los Angeles Sparks, having spent time with three WNBA franchises as a three-time WNBA All-Star selection (2021-22, 2024). In 2022, she won the 2022 WNBA Championship with the Las Vegas Aces. Additionally, Hamby was named the WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year in back-to-back years from 2019-20.

On the international side, Hamby became the first Wake Forest women’s athlete to win a medal at the Olympic Games. She earned an Olympic bronze medal with the 2024 USA 3x3 Basketball Team and was also tabbed the 2023 FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup MVP.
