Sara Day Named ACC Performer Of The Week

GREENSBORO, NC - Wake Forest's Sara Day and NC State's Isaiah Oglesby earn the first Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week honors after their respective performances this past weekend.
Demon Deacon middle distance runner Sara Day garners the ACC Women's Indoor Performer of the Week after posting a first place and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 9:33.13 in the 3,000 meter run at the Bucknell-Hershey Relays held in Lewisburg, PA.
The senior from Winston-Salem, NC earned all-ACC honors as well as all-Region honors in cross country this past fall for Wake Forest. Day was an automatic qualifier for the 2000 Cross Country NCAA Championships and provisionally qualified for the 2001 Indoor Track & Field NCAA Championships in her first race of the indoor season.
The Demon Deacons will return to action Jan. 19-20 at the Virginia Tech Invitational in Blacksburg, VA.
