GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Jill Snyder, a senior on the Wake Forest women?s indoor track & field team won the Mile Run Wednesday afternoon at the University of Florida Fast Times Invitational. Snyder, a middle distance runner from Lewisburg, PA, finished with a time of 4:42.78, automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships Mar. 9-10 in Fayetteville, AR. A three-time All-American (once indoors and twice outdoors), Snyder has competed in the last two NCAA Indoor Championships.

Snyder owns school records in the indoor 800-Meter Run, 1,000-Meter Run, Mile Run, 4x400 Meter Relay, Distance Medley Relay, as well as the outdoor 4x400 Meter Relay and the 4x1,500 Meter Relay. She has also provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 800-Meter Run and the Distance Medley Relay.

Actually a fifth-year senior academically, Snyder only has eligibility left in indoor track & field, so while her teammates will continue through the spring in the outdoor track & field season, Snyder?s collegiate career will end Mar. 10 at the University of Arkansas, in the 2001 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. She will join freshman teammate, Nikeya Green this weekend for the USA Indoor Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia, Mar. 2-3, before heading to the Natural State for the NCAA Championships.
