CLEMSON, SC-- Two Demon Deacons recorded provisional qualifying marks on Saturday as the Wake Forest track and field team competed at the Clemson Invitational. Junior Cassy Richards recorded an impressive third-place performance in the long jump for Wake Forest, and also competed in the shot put and 60m dash events.

The Wake Forest men placed two finishers in the top ten of the mile run, including Nathan Sisco (6th) and Matt Busick (9th) while three of the top 11 finishers in the same event on the women's side were Deacs. Molly Nunn, Denise Hefferin and Selina Sekulic placed fifth, 10th and 11th, respectively.

As a team, the Demon Deacon women finished eighth out of the 11 participating schools with 39 points. The Clemson women took first-place honors with 93 points. The Wake Forest men placed eighth out of nine teams as the University of Georgia finished on top with 120 points.
