Men's Tennis To Open Fall Season at Virginia

The Wake Forest men's tennis team kicks off its fall season this weekend in Charlottesville, Va., at the UVa Fall Invitational.
The Deacons, led by ninth year head coach Jeff Zinn, will have seven players competing this weekend at Virginia's Snyder Tennis Center, including Andrew Hamar, Todd Paul, Brett Ross and Derrick Spice in Flight A. Joe Bates, Charles Sartor and John Schults will represent Wake Forest in Flight B.
The three-day event (Friday-Sunday) features players from ten schools competing in two singles and two doubles draws.
The field for this year's tournament will consist of six teams that finished in the top 50 of last season's ITA rankings, the host Cavaliers, Harvard, Boise State, VCU, Wake Forest, and William & Mary. Liberty, NC State, Old Dominion and Washington College complete the field.
The tournament will consist for two 32-player singles draws and two 16-team doubles draws.
Play begins each day at 9:00 a.m.
