Men's Golf Heads To Augusta To Join Strong Field

Ten of the nation's top 26 men's golf teams, including sixth-ranked Wake Forest, gather in Augusta (GA) this weekend for the Augusta State Invitational.
The 54-hole tournament, held at the par 72, 7,231-yard Forest Hills Golf Club, begins with 36 holes on Saturday, followed by the final 18 holes on Sunday. The tournament, now in its 27th year, includes third-ranked Georgia, Wake Forest, 9th-ranked Duke, 13th-ranked Minnesota and host and 14th-ranked Augusta State. A total of 18 teams will compete.
Representing Wake Forest will be two juniors - Kyle Reifers and Doug Manchester - and three freshmen - Webb Simpson, Chris McCartin and Dustin Groves.
