"Jill has been a tremendous asset from the first day I showed up on campus," said director of track and field Annie Bennett. "She's a very detail oriented person with a great history and knowledge. I'm sad to see her go, but at the same time excited as she moves on to a new phase of her life to do something that is very important to her."
Snyder helped coach the 2002 ACC Women's Cross Country team, and she helped lead the Deacons to back-to-back NCAA appearances in 2002 and 2003. She stepped in as head coach to help the Deacons take ninth place at the 2002 NCAA Cross Country Championships in
Snyder earned All-American honors in both the mile and the distance medley relay in 2001.
Snyder was a four-time ACC champion and earned All-ACC distinction seven times during her career, dominating the Mile Run, 1,500-Meter Run, 800-Meter Run and Distance Medley Relay.
