Women's Golf Places Seventh at Lady Gamecock

*Blythewood**, S.C. - *The Wake Forest women's golf team finished the Lady Gamecock Classic in seventh place on Sunday. The Demon Deacons shot a three-round total of 907, 43-over par. Auburn won the team title with a 15-over par 879. The 54-hole event started Friday and ended Sunday and was contested at The University Club.
Freshman Jean Chua led the way for the Deacs with a nine-over total of 225. Chua's score was good for a 13^th place tie. Junior Maggie Simons finished two shots behind at 11-over par 227 and placed in a tie for 20^th . Freshman Nannette Hill shot a 12-over par 228 and finished tied for 22^nd .
Junior Mandy Goins placed in a tie for 26^th after firing a three-round 229, 13-over. Sophomore Laura Crawford rounded out the Deacon scoring with a 14-over 230. Sophomore Jordan Craig, competing in the event as an individual, shot a three-round 234 total. Her18-over par total was good for a tie for 41^st .
Auburn's Maria Martinez took the individual title with a five-under par 211.
