Zinn Enjoys Successful Homecoming In Little Rock

Little Rock, Ark. - Head coach Jeff Zinn made a triumphant return to his old stomping grounds on Friday, defeating his old team, the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, 6-1.
The win the winning streak for the ninth-ranked Deacons (12-1) to seven matches. The Trojans, ranked 75th, dropped to 14-4.
The Deacons captured the doubles point thanks to a pair of 8-6 wins from 31st-ranked Todd Paul and Mariusz Adamski and the number two team of Charles Sartor and Cory Parr.
In singles, the Deacons cruised to four straight-set victories. Steven Forman, Andrew Hamar, Jason Morgenstern and Parr each chipped in with a win. Adamski rallied from a one-set deficit to capture a hard-fought 4-6, 7-5, 10-4 win. For Parr, it was his sixth straight victory, the longest active winning streak on the team.
Wake Forest's lone blemish came at the top spot where third-ranked Todd Paul was upset for the second straight match. He fell 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6).
For Zinn, it was a successful return to Arkansas' capital city. He coached the Trojans for six years, was the 1994 Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year and led UALR to the 1995 and 1996 NCAA Tournaments.
Wake Forest opens its ACC schedule on Wednesday in Raleigh against the NC State Wolfpack.
