EUGENE, Ore. - Sisters Anna and Dina Nosenko both ran personal-best times and qualified for the NCAA Regionals Saturday night at the Oregon Twilight Meet at the Historic Hayward Field.

Anna ran a tremendous 5,000-meter race, finishing second with a time of 16:09.05, which not only bettered her previous regional time by almost 40 seconds but it also shattered her previous personal-best by nearly 14 seconds. Her time was also just seven seconds off the school-record of 16:02.04 set by Annie Bersagel in 2003.

Dina turned in a personal-best mark in the women's 1,500-meter run, taking fourth with a time of 4:24.03. That time is also an NCAA Regional qualifying mark and betters her previous personal-best by over four seconds.

Senior Merry Placer also made the trip out west and ran a respectable 5,000-meter race. She finished 14th in the field with a time of 17:18.29.

Wake Forest will next compete at the Georgia Tech Invitational next weekend and will prepare for the NCAA East Regionals in Greensboro on May 29-30.
