Men's Tennis Heads to Elon Invitational

In his first year at Cornell, Tony Bresky led the Big Red to its best season in program history

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team returns to action this weekend with a short trip to the Elon Invitational, which will run from Friday through Sunday in Elon, N.C. David Hopkins, Amogh Prabhakar, Conner Sherwood and Sam Wells will represent the Demon Deacons in the event.

Hopkins has started the season with a 3-1 record, having taken fifth place in his flight at the recent UVA Ranked + 1 Invitational. Prabhakar and Sherwood hold even 2-2 singles records this year. Wells will be making his Wake Forest debut in the event.

The Elon Invitational is one of a number of events that head coach Tony Bresky has added to the fall schedule. The Deacons will compete in the ITA Carolina Regional and Virginia Invitational next weekend before traveling to the Alabama Invitational at the end of the month.
