WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - With a weekend doubleheader looming against No. 5 Virginia and California, No. 25 Wake Forest will host Radford on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Kentner Stadium.
Last Time Out
Kari Walkley scored in the fifth minute to put the Deacs up early, but Wake Forest ultimately fell 2-1 to Louisville following a late goal on Sunday afternoon.
Storylines to Follow
Jess McFadyen has scored in four of the last six contests, including a two-goal performance against Ohio on Oct. 3. She leads the team in goals (eight) and points (18).
All seven of Taylor Rhea's goals have come in the last nine games, and she has taken 23 of her 31 shot attempts during that same span.
Ten of the 16 players on the roster have scored at least one goal this season. Kali Vicars has not scored but recorded an assist against Maryland.
Both McFadyen (15-of-17) and Rhea (27-of-32) have recorded on-goal percentages of more than 80 percent this season.
Head Coach Jen Averill needs just five more victories to reach 300 during her tenure at Wake Forest. She would join UNC's Karen Shelton and Maryland's Missy Meharg as active ACC coaches with 300 wins at a single school.
