
King Fisher Society Student-Athlete of the Week - Laura Rapp

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest senior middle distance runner Laura Rapp has been named the King Fisher Society Student-Athlete of the Week.
The award, sponsored by the King Fisher Society, seeks to honor a student-athlete who has excelled both on and off the field as a Demon Deacon.
Rapp competes on the Wake Forest cross country team and runs middle distance events for the track & field squad as well. Last season, Rapp specialized in the 1,500m run during the outdoor season and set a new personal-best time of 4:44.49 at the Auburn Invitational.
During the indoor season, Rapp competes in the 800m run and the one-mile run. The Lynchbur, Va., native has also ran as a part of the 4x800m relay team.
Rapp, who was named to the 2010-11 ACC Academic Honor Roll, is majoring in health and exercise science with a minor in psychology.
