No. 14 Deacs to Welcome No. 4 Maryland and Delaware

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - No. 14 Wake Forest will host No. 4 Maryland on Saturday and Delaware on Sunday at Kenter Stadium to close out its nine-game homestand. Both games are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. start times.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest had a strong second half and a late goal from Anna Kozniuk, but ultimately fell 2-1 to No. 1 North Carolina last Sunday afternoon at Kentner Stadium.
Storylines to Follow
• With her second goal of the season against North Carolina, Anna Kozniuk tied Krysta Wangerin for the team lead in points with nine.
• Kaitlyn Ruhf is second in the ACC in total saves (33) and first in the conference in saves per contest (4.71).
• Lizzie Rae currently sits eighth in the ACC with an average of three shots per game.
• Anna Kozniuk trails only UNC's Kelsey Kolojejchick (11) and UVA's Paige Selenski (8) with five assists.
• Head Coach Jen Averill needs just seven more victories to reach 300 during her tenure at Wake Forest. She would join UNC's Karen Shelton (534) and Maryland's Missy Meharg (438) as active ACC coaches with 300 wins at a single school.

This Weekend's Opponents
• Maryland is ranked No. 4 in the latest NFHCA poll and enters Kentner Stadium with a 6-1 overall record and a 1-0 mark in ACC play after defeating Boston College 7-4 in their last time out last Friday evening.
• Delaware has put together a 3-6 record and has yet to play a CAA conference game. The Blue Hens narrowly missed upsetting both Boston U. and Albany in their first two games this season.
Series History
• The Deacs and Terrapins have a strong history dating back to 1992. Maryland leads the series 27-11 and has won the last eight meetings. Wake's last victory came in a 2-1 upset in the ACC Semifinals on Nov. 2, 2007.
• Wake Forest and Delaware have met just twice, with contests in 2002 and 2011. The Deacons have won both games by a combined score of 13-3 and defeated the Blue Hens 7-1 on the road last season behind goals from Lizzie Rae, Christine Conroe and Kari Walkley.
Next Up
• Wake Forest will go on the road for the first time this season, taking on No. 1 North Carolina in Chapel Hill next Saturday afternoon.
• The Demon Deacons dropped a close 2-1 decision to the Tar Heels on Sept. 16 and will be looking to pick up another ACC victory as well as their first win in the series since 2008.
