Deacons In 6th Place After Two Rounds of Bryan National

BROWN SUMMIT, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf fired a second round 299 and is in a tie for sixth place through two rounds of the Bryan National Collegiate.
The Demon Deacons are 20-over par through the two rounds and tied for sixth. Virginia continues to lead the way as the Cavaliers shot a second round 293 and have a 9-shot lead on Arkansas at 2-under par.
Junior Olafia Kristinsdottir, sophomore Allison Emrey and freshman Mariana Sims all fired rounds of 2-over 74 on Saturday. Kristinsdottir made four more birdies in the second round and now has a total of nine birdies for the tournament. Emrey has been consistent over the first two rounds as made 14 pars in her round today. For Sims, the 74 is her second-lowest round of the season. Kristinsdottir and Emrey are tied for 27th while Sims is a shot behind in 37th place.
Sophomore Marissa Dodd and senior Greta Lange each carded rounds of 77 on Saturday. Dodd leads the team on the weekend as she is tied for 20th at 4-over par while the 155 36-hole total is the best start to an event for Lange this season.
Emily Wright, who is playing as an individual, opened her round with a birdie at No. 11 and would finish with 14 pars in her round of 3-over 75. That is also the second-lowest round of the Wright's season. She is 8-over for the tournament and tied for 47th.
Virginia's Brittany Altomare carded her second-straight round of 2-under 70 and leads the individual race by two shots over Emilie Burger of Georgia.
The final round is scheduled to begin Sunday morning with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start. Golfstat.com will have live scoring of the final round.
