Wake Forest Heads to Notre Dame This Weekend
Wake Forest travels to Indiana this weekend to play Notre Dame this in the first ever ACC meeting between the two schools in baseball.
Friday and Sunday's games are scheduled to be played at Coveleski Stadium in South Bend, Ind. while Saturday's game is scheduled to be played at the U.S. Steel Yard in Gary, Ind.

Last Time Out
Grant Shambley beat out a play at first base while Jimmy Redovian hustled from second base to score in the 12th inning as Wake Forest downed Elon 3-2 on Wednesday in non-conference play.
Wake Forest edged Elon as the Phoenix rallied for two runs in the ninth inning to send the game to extra innings. After Wake Forest took the 3-2 lead in the top of the 12th inning, John McCarren struck out the last batter of the game to earn the first save of his collegiate career.
Evan Stephens went two-for-four while Shambley, Will Craig and Jack Carey all had an RBI. Carey homered in the second inning while Craig walked with the bases loaded.
Wake Forest Storylines
All three starting pitcher for Wake Forest went at least 7.0 innings pitched in the series at Boston College with John McLeod and Connor Kaden each earning wins. Jack Fischer pitched 8.0 innings in the first game against BC.
Charlie Morgan has been a major force for the Wake Forest offense over the past 12 games as he has 16 RBIs over that span with two home runs after only recording five RBIs in the first 12 games. He is three RBIs from 100 in his career.
The Demon Deacons are 10-4 in one-run games this season and are 13-0 when leading after eight innings.
The Opposition & Series History
Wake Forest and Notre Dame have met four times with the series tied at 2-2.
The Deacs took two games from the Irish in 1988 but Notre Dame won the last two meetings with a win in 2000 and 2003 at neutral sites in Minneapolis, Minn.
Notre Dame has a 9-14 record and a 1-8 mark in the ACC.
The Fighting Irish fell in its series against Duke, Virginia Tech and NC State.
