DALLAS, Texas - The final round of the SMU/Dallas Athletic Club Invitational has been canceled due to inclement weather in the Dallas area. The 36-hole results are deemed final.
The final round was first delayed an hour because of the weather and after the field got through roughly three holes, play was halted again because of lightning and then ultimately canceled.
Wake Forest carded a second round 300 on Saturday and moved from 10th to seventh where it finished. Junior Marissa Dodd shot an even-par 72 in the second round and led the Deacons as she finished tie for 16th at 7-over par.
The Demon Deacons will have next week off before returning to action on Thursday, April 17, in the first round of the ACC Championship. The tournament is again hosted at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro.
