Merckle and Adair Tab All-American Honors

EUGENE, Ore. - Jessie Merckle earned First Team All-American honors in the javelin, while Katie Adair tabbed Honorable Mention in the pole vault on the second day of the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday evening.
Merckle finished her junior year with a season-best toss of 53.29m (174-10), the second-best throw of her career. She placed seventh place to earn First Team All-American honors for the first time in her career. The top-eight finishers in the event earned First Team All-American honors. This is the second All-American honor of her career. Merckle earned Second Team honors last season with a 12th place finish in the event.
Adair finished 18th in her first NCAA Track & Field Championships of her career to earn All-American Honorable Mention honors. She cleared the opening height of 4.05m (13-3.5), but couldn't clear the second bar of 4.20m (13-9.25), above her career-best height of 4.18m (13-8.5) at the NCAA East Regional this year.
Kyle Graves is the final competitor for the Demon Deacons at the NCAA Championships. He will compete in the finals of the men's 1,500m on Friday at 7:45 p.m. ET on ESPN.
