The Match-Up
• Wake Forest returns to ACC play, traveling to No. 10 Virginia for a three-game series this weekend.
• Due to expected inclement weather on Sunday, the teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 3:30 p.m. Friday, and a single game on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Wake Forest Storylines

• The Demon Deacons split a pair of midweek games this week, beating High Point on Tuesday before falling to Charlotte on Wednesday.
• Stuart Fairchild and Gavin Sheets hit back-to-back longballs to fuel the win over High Point on Tuesday, with John McCarren tossing 5.0 innings in relief and Rayne Supple earning a 3.0-inning save.
• On Wednesday, Charlotte hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth to claim the victory. Wake Forest stranded 13 runners on base and finished 3-for-19 with runners in scoring position.
• Fairchild and Sheets have been heating up at the plate. Fairchild is hitting .429 over the last three games with a double, triple, homer and four RBIs. Sheets is on an eight-game hitting streak, and is also hitting .429 over the past three games with three homers and five RBIs.
• Will Craig ranks atop the ACC in homers, RBIs, slugging percentage, on-base percentage and total bases. The junior also has a team-best three saves and is yet to allow a run in six relief appearances on the mound. The Deacs are 1-3 without Craig in the lineup after he tweaked his oblique in the Friday game against Clemson.
