WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the Bob Pollock Invitational Jan. 26-27 at the Clemson University Indoor Track and Field Complex.
The Demon Deacons will be making their first of two appearances at the track, as the 2018 ACC Indoor Championships will be held there Feb. 22-24.
Twenty-seven student-athletes will be representing Wake Forest throughout the weekend, including 12 on the women's side and 15 on the men's. The Deacs will compete in 20 events, including eight by the men and 12 by the women.
Competition on Friday begins at 2:30 p.m. on both the track and in the field. On Saturday, field events start at 11 a.m. while track events will begin at noon.
Last time out, the Deacs claimed four event titles at the Wake Forest Invitational. Max Adams took the shot put title, Tesia Kempski won the pole vault, Alva Hicks claimed her third weight throw title in as many events and the women's 4x400m relay team consisting of Cydney Delley, Jordan Banks, Maya Hinton and Sarah Johnson crossed the line first. All of those Demon Deacons will be competing in the same events this weekend.
