• Wake Forest heads into a tough week with four games scheduled against top-25 teams, beginning with a trip to No. 24 Coastal Carolina on Wednesday.

• Wake Forest won the series against UMass Lowell over the weekend, claiming wins on Friday and Sunday.

• Griffin Roberts was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week on Monday for his efforts over the weekend. In Friday's 8-1 win over UMass Lowell, Roberts struck out a career-high 11 batters in 8.0 innings. He didn't allow a baserunner until the fifth inning and allowed just one run on two hits.
• The Demon Deacons have already started six different freshmen position players, while four rookies have seen time on the mound.
• The Deacs are coming off their second Super Regional appearance, finishing a game away from the College World Series. Wake Forest finished the year with a 43-20 record and set program records in ACC wins (19), ACC series wins (eight), All-ACC honorees (nine), MLB Draft picks (eight) and home runs (106).
Opponent And Series History
• Coastal Carolina leads the all-time series by a 19-16 margin, but Wake Forest swept the home-and-home series last year. The Deacs won in Conway, 13-8, and in Winston-Salem, 19-9.
• The Chanticleers cracked the top 25 of the national rankings for the first time this week with a 10-3 overall record.
• Coastal Carolina is led by Kevin Woodall Jr., who ranks second in the nation with seven home runs and eighth nationally with 20 RBIs.
