Deacs Set for Tobacco Road Showdown
• The Wake Forest women's basketball team heads to Chapel Hill for an in-state showdown with North Carolina on Thursday, Jan. 17.
• Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. inside Carmichael Arena. Thursday's game will be broadcast on the ACC RSN, with Tom Werme and former Demon Deacon great LaChina Robinson on the call.
 
Last Time Out
• The Deacs dropped a 78-48 decision to the top-ranked Fighting Irish on Sunday, Jan. 13 on the road.
• Freshman Christina Morra had her best game as a Deac, coming off the bench to score a team-high 13 points while bringing in a team-leading nine rebounds. Ivana Raca had her third consecutive double-figure game,
  finishing with 12 points.
• Notre Dame jumped out to an 18-0 lead in the opening quarter and never trailed the rest of the way. The Demon Deacons outscored the Irish 20-16 in the final quarter of play.
 
Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest ranks fourth in the ACC in scoring defense, allowing only 60.3 points per game. The defense is limiting opponents to shoot just 36.6 percent from the field, sixth in the league.
• The Deacs rank 33rd nationally in free throw percentage, connecting on 75.2 percent of free throw attempts.
Ona Udoh is fifth in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 60.0 percent from the field. She is second in offensive rebounds per game (3.8) and sixth in rebounding (8.9 rpg).
Gina Conti ranks second in the ACC in assists per game (5.4) and leads the league in minutes per game (35.6). Her 87 total assists are 24th in the country.

• North Carolina is 9-8 on the season and 0-3 in ACC play after dropping a 90-77 decision to No. 12 Syracuse last time out.
