DEACS TRAVEL TO ARKANSAS FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
• Wake Forest will compete at the 2019 NCAA Championships, hosted by Arkansas
• The Deacs advanced to the NCAA Championships with a T-2nd finish at the Norman Regional, their highest finish at a regional since a runner-up finish at the 2015 South Bend Regional
• It is the Demon Deacons' first-ever tournament in the state of Arkansas
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
• Wake Forest is making its 16th appearance at the NCAA Championships
• Wake Forest has advanced to the NCAA Championships in consecutive seasons for the first time since a four-year stretch from 2006-09
• The Deacs finished T-16th at last year's NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Okla., just missing the cut for the final round of stroke play
• Wake Forest has four top-10 finishes, including a school-record 3rd place finish in 1995
KUPCHO LOOKS TO MAKE NCAA HISTORY
• Jennifer Kupcho, the reigning NCAA individual champion, heads to Arkansas looking to make history
• She is looking to become the first woman to win multiple NCAA individual championships
• Kupcho finished T-6th as a freshman in 2016 and T-2nd as a sophomore in 2017 and is looking to be the first player in at least 20 years to have four top-6 finishes at the NCAA Championship
• She is the first Deacon since Nannette Hill and Jean Chua (2006-09) to play in four NCAA Championships
IN THE RANKINGS
• Wake Forest enters the NCAA Championship ranked a season-high No. 2 in the GolfWeek rankings and No. 6 in the GolfStat rankings
• Three Deacs are ranked in the top 20 of the GolfWeek individual rankings, including Jennifer Kupcho and Emilia Migliaccio in the top five
SHOOTING LOW THIS SEASON
• Wake Forest enters regionals with a stroke average of 287.54, over six strokes better than the school-record 293.76 set last season
• The Deacs won straight three events in March and April (Tar Heel Classic Casa de Campo, Bryan National Collegiate and ACC Championship), matching the longest win streak in program history set in the fall of 1994
• The three lowest 54-hole team scores in program history (34-under at Bryan National Collegiate, 23-under at Tar Heel Classic, 14-under at ACC Championship) came in those victories
• The Deacs have finished under par in a school-record five events this season (previous record was three under-par finishes last season)
