The Matchup
• Wake Forest returns to action from a five-day break for final exams against Davidson on Tuesday night on ACC Network Extra.

Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons split a pair of midweek games last week, taking down Gardner-Webb on Tuesday before falling to High Point on a walk-off homer Wednesday.
Chris Lanzilli and Shane Muntz combined for five homers in those two games. Lanzilli hit two on Tuesday and another on Wednesday, while Muntz hit one in each game.
• Muntz has reached base safely in 10 straight plate appearances. He went 3-for-3 with a walk Wednesday, 2-for-2 with two walks Tuesday, and also reached base in his last two appearances at Florida State on April 28.

Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest's offense has become one of the powers of the ACC. The Deacs rank in the top five in the league in batting average, runs, home runs, and slugging percentage, also ranking in the top 20 nationally in runs, homers and walks.
• A quartet of Deacons have been the catalyst to that offense: Bobby Seymour, Chris Lanzilli, Patrick Frick and Shane Muntz. Seymour and Frick are ranked in the top five in the ACC with batting averages of .368 and .365, respectively. Seymour leads the nation with 72 RBIs on 14 doubles and seven homers. Frick has hit 12 doubles and four homers while drawing a team-best 35 walks. Lanzilli is hitting .347, leading the team with 16 doubles and 15 homers to go along with 60 RBIs, and he's hit five homers the last five games. Muntz is batting .340 with 12 homers and is currently on an 11-game winning streak.

Opponent & Series History
• Wake Forest is 59-14 all-time against Davidson dating back to 1960. This is the only meeting between the teams this year after each squad successfully defended its home field a season ago.
• Davidson enters with a 23-19 overall record, led by four pitchers with ERAs under 4: Gabe Levy, Casey Sutherland, Allen Barry and Tuesday's starter, Josh Hudson. The four have combined for an 18-5 record on the mound.

On Deck
• Wake Forest welcomes No. 17 Miami to Winston-Salem this weekend for a three-game series on ACC Network Extra.
