Bruce Steel hit two homers and Bobby Seymour totaled five RBIs on a single, double and homer to lead the Deacs.
Ryan Cusick also put together a strong start on the mound, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over 5.1 innings, striking out five as he earned the win to improve to 6-3.
While the Wildcats (23-20) hit three home runs of their own, the Demon Deacons (28-20) blasted four, and were able to hold off Davidson's late rally. William Fleming entered with nobody out in the eighth and tossed 2.0 shutout innings with a pair of strikeouts to record his eighth save.
Seymour, Steel and Patrick Frick each finished with three hits, while Shane Muntz added two hits, including his 13th homer of the year.
In the first inning, Frick singled, advanced to second on an error and scored on an RBI double by Seymour to give the Deacs an early 1-0 lead.
Davidson tied it in the fourth with a two-out rally. Brett Centracchio singled and scored on an RBI double by Justin Lebek, as each recorded three hits to lead the Wildcats.
Wake Forest took control in the fifth with six runs, sparked by three homers. After a run-scoring wild pitch, Seymour and Muntz went back-to-back with a three-run and solo blast, respectively. Steel hit his first homer a batter later to put the Deacs ahead, 7-1.
The teams traded homers in the seventh. Trevor Candelaria hit a solo shot for Davidson, then Steel answered with a two-run homer to make the score 9-2.
The first six Wildcat hitters of the eighth inning all recorded hits, including back-to-back homers by Eric Jones and Alex Mardiney to start the inning. Fleming entered with two on and nobody out and got out of the inning to keep the Deacs ahead, 9-8.
Seymour added his Division I-leading 77th RBI of the season in the eighth inning on a ground ball which ended up scoring two thanks to a Davidson error, giving the Deacs a pair of insurance runs.
Davidson brought the potential tying run to the plate with a pair of two-out singles in the ninth, but Fleming ended the rally with a strikeout to seal the victory.
Wake Forest is back in action this weekend, playing host to No. 17 Miami on Friday, Saturday and Monday.
