The Demon Deacons will look to advance to their fifth ACC Tournament semifinal in program history on Friday

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team will face No. 22 Florida State in the second round of the ACC Tournament on Friday.
The Demon Deacons (16-15) will look to advance to the semifinals of the conference tournament for the fifth time in program history and the first since expanding to the 15-team format. The Deacs will also look to wins three games in the ACC Tournament for the first time in Wake history.
The Seminoles (22-7) earned the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament and a double bye after winning 11 games in conference play. They have three players averaging 14.0 points or better this season. Kiah Gillespie nearly averaged a double-double in the regular season with a team-high 15.5 points and a team-best 8.7 rebounds.
Tipoff for Friday morning's game against the Seminoles is scheduled for 11 a.m. (ET) in the Greensboro Coliseum. The game can also be seen on RSN and ACCNX.

ACADEMIC ALL-ACC PERFORMERS
Two members of the Wake Forest women's basketball team were named to the Academic All-ACC Team, as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning.
Senior Alex Sharp becomes the first player in Wake Forest history to be named to the team in all four seasons while sophomore Christina Morra was honored for the first time in her career.

ALL-ACC IVANA
Junior forward Ivana Raca was named to the All-ACC team, as announced by the league office on Monday.
She became the 23rd player in program history to earn all-league honors and the second international player in Wake history to be named to the All-ACC team.
The Belgrade, Serbia native entered the conference tournament ranked fifth in the league with 16.8 points per game while also grabbing 6.7 rebounds per game, dishing out 1.7 assists per game and tallying 1.2 steals per game.

- Wake Forest kept the potent offense of Virginia Tech in check, limiting the Hokies to 1-of-9 from behind the arc in the second half. Virginia Tech managed just one three-point attempt in the fourth quarter, coming with second left. It hit front rim and sent the Deacs to the ACC Quarterfinals.
- Maya Banks was a key piece off the bench, scoring three of the Deacs first four baskets in the fourth quarter. From this point, Wake Forest lead the rest of the way.
