Over the coming months, GoDeacs.com will provide a look at our student-athletes and administrators away from sports with a Get To Know You series. Be sure to follow our social media channels for more!
Today's Get to Know You is Barb Walker, our Senior Women's Administrator and Deputy AD.
Three words your friends would use to describe you?
Caring, smiling, calm.
Average Tuesday night dinner with the family, what are you talking about?
It is just my daughter and me. Our discussions range from romance to politics. I have not been shy about expressing my political views to her, fortunately she is evolved enough to agree with me...most of the time. :)
What is your favorite place to go in Winston-Salem?
Thruway Shopping Center
If you had a superpower, which one would you choose?
Invisibility.
What makes Wake Forest special to you?
The coaches, without a doubt working with them for 21 years has inspired me more than you can imagine.
If you didn't do this job, what other job would you do? Why?
Home Depot for all the discount garden supplies!
Describe your favorite Wake Forest memory?
Taking my 3 year old daughter on a trip with the Field Hockey team to Boston as they made their way to a National Championship. Jen wasn't able to travel having just given birth to beautiful Nic.
