
Demon Deacons Visit Notre Dame on Thursday Night

The Deacs are looking to the start the New Year with a 3-0 record for the second consecutive season.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team hits the road, traveling to South Bend, Ind. to face Notre Dame on Thursday afternoon.
The Demon Deacons (6-3, 3-2 ACC) are looking to continue their winning ways in 2021 after victories over Miami and Boston College to open up the new year last week. For her efforts in the wins, Ivana Raca goes into Thursday as the reigning ACC Player of the Week.
The Fighting Irish (5-5, 3-3 ACC) hold a 4-2 record at home this season including a 2-1 record during conference play. They are led by freshman forward Maddy Westbeld who is averaging 15.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
Tipoff for Thursday's game against Notre Dame is scheduled for 4 p.m. (ET) in Purcell Pavilion. The game will air on ACC Network.

ACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After a week where she averaged 19.0 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per game. This included a career-best 14 rebounds in the win over Miami on Thursday night.
In addition to winning the ACC Player of the Week, Raca was named to the NCAA Starting Five and was the College Sports Madness ACC Player of the Week.
