Deacs Set for Home Opener on Sunday Afternoon

Wake Forest is scheduled to take on South Carolina and Davidson Sunday at Wake Forest Tennis Center.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 16 Wake Forest men's tennis team is set to open its home slate of matches against No. 20 South Carolina and Davidson on Sunday afternoon.
The Deacs will be in search of their first ranked win of the season in the opening match of the day against the top-20 Gamecocks.
First serve against South Carolina is set for 1 p.m. while the Deacs finish the day against the Wildcats at 5 p.m.
Since the start of the 2016-17 season, Wake Forest has a 60-1 record in home matches. This includes a perfect 29-0 record over the past two seasons. The only loss at home came against Florida (4-3) during the 2017-18 season.

LAST TIME
The Wake Forest men's tennis team finished the ITA Kickoff Weekend with a 4-2 victory over Denver on Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas.
- Both Eduardo Nava and Adam Ambrozy captured straight-set victories on court one and court five to get the Deacs on the board. Nava cruised in the No. 1 match, winning 6-3, 6-2 for his first singles win of the season.

The Deacs are scheduled to open up Atlantic Coast Conference action at Virginia on Saturday, Feb. 6.
The first serve against the Cavaliers is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Charlottesville.
