Banthia Perfect Through Final Day of Gamecock Scramble

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Wake Forest men's tennis senior Siddhant Banthia remained perfect through the last day of the Gamecock Scramble, as the Demon Deacons collected 19 wins overall at Carolina Tennis Center.
Banthia took down Andreja Petrovic of Florida State in straight sets 7-6 (7-1), 6-3. He did not drop a single set in any of his three singles matches throughout the weekend. In doubles, Banthia partnered with Juan Lopez de Azcona to secure a ranked win over the No. 5 duo in the nation and remain perfect in the tournament.
Matthew Thomson, Filippo Moroni, Robert Macaig and Taha Baadi each picked up wins in singles.
Macaig and Ben Draper picked up the final win of the weekend over Dusan Milanovic and Max Benson (Presbyterian College), 8-6.
Wake Forest wrapped up their weekend with 14 singles and five doubles wins across the three-day tournament.
Siddhant Banthia, Jakob Schnaitter and Taha Baadi will be back in action at the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego, Calif. November 4-7th.
