
Demon Deacons Head East for Pair of Big Four Matches

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball team will hit Tobacco Road this weekend for a pair of matches against North Carolina and NC State in Chapel Hill and Raleigh.
Statistically, Wake Forest has remained inside the top 10 in multiple categories since the start of the season. They lead the league in service aces, with 1.74 per set. They are sixth in kills (13.52/set), fifth in hitting percentage (.263), 10th in assists (11.50/set) and ninth in blocks (2.24/set).
Senior setter Andrea Fuentes is fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference in assists per set, with 10.38/set through 53 sets. She has tallied 550 helpers through 15 matches, which is second-most in the league. She is also fifth in the league in total service aces with 20.
Freshman libero Kalani Whillock is sixth in the league in digs per set, averaging 3.93 through 54 sets. Her 212 total digs is fifth in the league. Virginia Tech's Logan Mosley has a league-high 274 digs through 65 sets.
The Matches
Friday's match against North Carolina will stream live on ACC Network Extra with first serve set for 6 p.m. in Carmichael Arena.
Sunday's match against NC State will stream live on ACC Network Extra with first serve set for 1 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.

The Demon Deacons defeated the Boston College Eagles in a five-set battle, 3-2, last Sunday afternoon for their first ACC win. Grad transfer Kamryn Malloy led the Demon Deacons with a career-high 25 kills on 50 attempts.
Along with Malloy's 25 kills for a .440 hitting percentage, Andrea Fuentes tallied 52 assists and three kills of her own. Ashley Slater was right behind Malloy, with a season-high 18 kills for a .343 hitting percentage. Delaney McSweeney and Chloe Wilson also contributed to the offense with eight and seven kills, respectively. Wilson finished with a team-high .455 hitting percentage. McSweeney led Wake Forest on the net with eight blocks, four of which were solo. Olivia Franke was right behind her with four total blocks.
