The two-time Rimington Trophy Watch List honoree and team captain garners his first career conference accolade.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Michael Jurgens was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Lineman of the week for his key contributions in the Demon Deacons' week 11 victory against NC State, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The two-time Rimington Trophy Watch List honoree and team captain garnered his first career conference accolade after helping Wake Forest's offense score 45 points and total 116 rushing yards, 290 passing yards and 27 first downs in their 45-42 win over NC State.
Individually, Jurgens graded out at 92 percent with three knockdowns and no sacks or pressures allowed.
The Demon Deacons have now had a Beef Boy honored as the offensive lineman of the week in their last two victories. Zach Tom also earned the honor after a 45-7 victory over rival Duke on Nov. 1.
Heading into week 12, Wake Forest is the only team in the nation that has scored at least 35 points in every game. Additionally, Wake Forest has scored 447 combined points in the first 10 games this season, which is on pace to break the single season record from 2017 when Wake Forest tallied 459 points.
