Wake Forest is in search of its first win at Georgia Tech since the 2003-04 season.

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Wake Forest women's basketball travels to Atlanta, Ga. on Sunday afternoon for its second meeting with Georgia Tech, this season.

Senior duo Ivana Raca and Gina Conti lead the Demon Deacons (8-8, 5-7 ACC) and are one of the best scoring tandems in the entire conference. Their 31.7 points per game combined ranks second in the league while both players rank in the top 12 in the ACC in scoring with Raca (16.6) ranking fourth and Conti (15.1) in 12th.

The Yellow Jackets (11-3, 9-2 ACC) come into the contest riding a seven-game winning streak that has helped boost them into third place in the ACC standings. Senior forward Lorela Cubaj goes into the game as one of four players in the conference averaging a double-double with 13.3 points and 11.9 rebounds.

Tipoff for Sunday's game against Georgia Tech is scheduled for Noon (ET) in McCamish Pavilion. The game will air on Regional Sports Networks.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE

After posting her sixth double-double of the season, Ivana Raca now has 14 for her career, which ranks 10th in program history. When she records a double-double this season, the Demon Deacons are 4-2 as a team.

Additionally, earlier this week the Belgrade, Serbia native was named as one of 10 finalists for the Cheryl Miller Award, given to the best small forward in the nation.

  • Despite an efficient night from senior guard Gina Conti, the Wake Forest women's basketball team fell, 85-78, on the road at Syracuse on Thursday evening.
    • Conti led the Demon Deacons and all scorers with 25 points on the night, marking the fourth time this season the Grove City, Ohio native has gone for 20 or more points.

Ivana Raca enters the week needing just seven rebounds to break into the top 10 in program history in career rebounds. The senior has collected 643 in her career. This season she has averaged a career best 9.6 rebounds per game, nearly three better than her junior campaign.
