The Deacs posted over a 3.0 team GPA this past fall.
BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Wake Forest field hockey continues to receive recognition for their academic achievements as the program earned the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Team Award.
The team garners the accolade after posting an accumulative GPA of over 3.0 during the 2020 fall semester, while playing a difficult 11-game schedule.
Last week, 15 Demon Deacons were named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, reeling in the honor for individually recording over a 3.3 GPA.
Through four games this spring, the No 11 Deacs have posted a 3-1 record, including a 3-2 overtime victory in their home finale this past Saturday at Kentner Stadium. Additionally, Hannah Maxwell (Offensive Player of the Week) and Tori Glaister (Defensive Player of the Week) have reeled in honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference for their individual efforts.
Wake Forest closes out the 2021 campaign with a pair of road matches, first traveling to Syracuse on Friday, April 2 followed by a contest at Louisville on April 17.
