Wake Forest Men’s Soccer Concludes Exhibition Slate

The Demon Deacons will begin regular season play on Thursday night hosting VCU at Spry Stadium.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The No. 7 ranked Wake Forest men's soccer team returned to Spry Stadium on Saturday, falling to No. 25 Coastal Carolina 2-0.
Despite a first half in which the Demon Deacons were on the front-foot with a sizeable shot (15-5) and corner kicks (6-0) advantage, Wake Forest went into halftime trailing 1-0 as Coastal Carolina found the back of the net in the 32nd minute.
The Deacs continued to apply the majority of pressure in the second half, but the Chanticleers scored once again in the 72nd minute to secure the 2-0 result.
Wake Forest now turns its attention to the regular season opener this Thursday, hosting VCU. Kick-off for the match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
