The Matches
Kansas

Kansas competed in the Reamer Club Spectacular hosted by Purdue University last weekend. The Jayhawks dropped both matches in the tournament, losing their first against Loyola Marymount (1-3), and their second to host Purdue (0-3). Offensively, Kansas is led by super-senior Jenny Mosser, who collected a team high 21 kills in the Jayhawks first two games. Defensively, junior Kennedy Farris led the team last weekend with 21 digs.

For the first time in 10 years, Wake Forest will face Western Kentucky, who currently holds the series lead 2-0 after topping the Deacs 3-0 on September 9, 2011. The Hilltoppers (3-0) are currently ranked No. 15 in the latest AVCA poll after earning wins against Oakland, then-No. 25 Notre Dame, and Loyola (Chicago), 3-0, 3-0, and 3-1 respectively. Western Kentucky is led offensively by senior Lauren Matthews who leads the team with 46 kills and is averaging 4.6 kills per set. Fifth year senior Nadia Dieudonne paces the Hilltopper offense with 123 assists and is averaging 12.3 assists per set.
