
Lanckohr Named ACC Offensive Player of the Week

The junior All-American netted a trio of goals during Wake Forest’s 2-0 weekend.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Junior All-American Meike Lanckohr was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
Lanckohr earns the first weekly honor of her career after leading Wake Forest's offensive attack with a trio of goals in back-to-back wins over top-25 opponents in No. 17 Duke and No. 21 UMass.
In the Deacs' ACC opener against the Blue Devils on Friday, Sept. 17, Lanckohr netted two first-half goals in the 3-1 victory, her second multi-goal performance of her career. On Sunday, Sept. 19, the Voerendaal, Netherlands native found the back of the net for the Deacs' first goal of the game.
Overall, Lanckohr has scored a team-high six goals this season, good for second in the conference.
Wake Forest returns to the turf on Friday, Sept. 24 for their conference home opener against Virginia inside Kentner Stadium at 6:00 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
The Deacs then head out on the road for three-straight contests against Louisville (Friday, Oct. 1), Miami (OH) (Sunday, Oct. 3) and Syracuse (Friday, Oct. 8).
