
Deacs Host Three on Saturday

Since the 2016-17 season, the Demon Deacons have posted a remarkable 81-4 record in the friendly confines of the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The 10th-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team continues its 2022 dual slate Saturday with a home triple-header against Coastal Carolina, Davidson and Elon.
The doors will open at 8 a.m. with the first match slated for 9 a.m. ET, while the day's second match is set to begin at 12 p.m. ET and the final match tips off at 5 p.m. All matches will take place inside the Indoor Tennis Center, with fans being permitted.

LAST TIME OUT
On Sunday, the Demon Deacons took down Tennessee Tech, 7-0 and 4-0.
In the first match against Tennessee Tech, the Deacs battled through the doubles point, before gathering triumphs from Juan Lopez de Azcona, Filippo Moroni, Matthew Thomson, Robert Maciag, Melios Efstathiou and Siddhant Banthia to capture the match at 7-0.
In the second contest, the Deacs once again ran through the doubles point, before dominating in singles to capture their second shutout of the season.
SCOUTING COASTAL CAROLINA
The Deacs hold a perfect 8-0 series lead over the Chanticleers and have only given up four points. Last season, Wake Forest cruised past Coastal Carolina, 5-2, as the Chanticleers went on to finish the season with a record of 8-9 (1-2 SBC) and were 2-3 in road matches.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
Saturday's matchup will be the 21st meeting between the Deacs and Wildcats in a series dating to 1971. Wake Forest owns a 18-2 series edge, with wins in each of the programs last 17 meetings. The last time the teams met was twice in 2021, both contests that finished 7-0 in favor of Wake Forest.
SCOUTING ELON
Saturday's encounter will be the eighth between the Deacs and Phoenix in a series dating to 1996. The most recent matchup between the programs was a 6-1 win for the Demon Deacons in 2021.
RANKED DEACS
Finding themselves in the singles rankings were Filippo Moroni (75), Jakob Schnaitter (85), Taha Baadi (100) and Robert Maciag (117). In doubles, Siddhant Banthia was ranked twice as Banthia and Schnaitter were at No. 19, Maciag and Ben Draper were No. 26 and Banthia and Juan Lopez de Azcona claimed No. 50.
SIX NEWCOMERS
The Deacs welcome six newcomers to the 2022 squad, three by way of transfer and three freshmen. Vikas Deo, Adam Duan and Togan Makzume serve as Wake Forest's trio of freshmen, while transfers Ben Draper (California), Jakob Schnaitter (Azusa Pacific) and Jurabek Karimov (Uzbekistan) each call Winston-Salem home.

FAN INFORMATION
All patrons ages 12 and older will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test taken within 48 hours of the event in order to enter the Indoor Tennis Center.
Fans attending matches at the Indoor Tennis Center are encouraged to arrive early with the addition of the following health and safety measures.
Prior to entry, fans must either:
