Wake Forest is set to host Clemson for the first time this season as the Deacs will make the return trip to South Carolina in less than a month.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team returns home to Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Thursday night against Clemson.
The Demon Deacons (12-6, 2-5 ACC) will be in search of their 10th home victory of the season as they look to end a three-game losing streak against Clemson. Sophomore guard Jewel Spear continues to maintain her spot atop the conference scoring list this season as her 19.7 points per game are 1.1 better than the next closest in the conference. She is coming off her second career double-double performance with 20 points and 10 rebounds against Pitt on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers (6-11, 0-6 ACC) head to Winston-Salem in search of their first win in conference play. They are led by sixth-year senior guard Delicia Washington, who was a second-team All-ACC selection a season ago. She averages 13.5 points per game, tied for 11th in the league and she is the only double-digit scorer for Clemson this season. She was also a preseason All-ACC selection by ACC Coaches and Blue Ribbon Panel.
Tipoff for Thursday night's game against the Tigers is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) at LJVM Coliseum. The game can also be seen on ACC Network Extra.
Fans can follow along via the Demon Deacons Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts (@WakeWBB).
