Demon Deacons Look to Rebound at Home Versus Florida State

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - After playing each of its first three ACC games on the road, the Wake Forest men's basketball team will kick off a three-game homestand on Tuesday evening against Florida State in the team's ACC home opener.
The Demon Deacons (11-3, 1-2) are coming off a close 92-84 defeat on New Year's Day at Miami that again came down to the wire. Alondes Williams narrowed Miami's lead to three with three minutes to play, but ultimately the team could not take the lead.
Jake LaRavia led the Deacs in scoring for the second-straight game, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Isaiah Mucius followed close behind with 17 points on a season-high five makes from beyond the arc.
Mucius has connected on at least three triples in each of his past four games and is averaging 14.3 points on 48.4 percent shooting from downtown (15-of-31) over the same span.
Alondes Williams chipped in 15 points to go along with six rebounds and seven assists. The Milwaukee native is currently the only player in the country with season averages of at least 20 points (20.1), five rebounds (6.4), and five assists (5.2).
Wake Forest currently ranks 27th in the country in field goal percentage (48.3) and 28th in the country in points per game (80.5). Both marks are second-best in the ACC.
The Seminoles (7-4, 1-1) head to Winston-Salem following an 83-81 victory over NC State on Saturday. Florida State is led by 20th-year head coach Leonard Hamilton and boasts a defense that ranks first in the ACC in steals (9.9) and third in blocks (5.0).
Tipoff inside LJVM Coliseum is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET and the game will air live on Bally Sports South and other regional sports networks.
