Wake Forest has had three selections or more for the fifth time in program history.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Three Wake Forest men's tennis in graduate students Eduardo Nava and Jakob Schnaitter and junior Matthew Thomson were selected to the Academic All-ACC Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday.

Wake Forest has had three selections or more for the fifth time in program history. Additionally, this marks the second honor for Eduardo Nava in 2021.

All three players proved vital in the Deacs program-record performance with a perfect 24-0 season at home. Wake Forest's win against Duke also marked the program's 19th consecutive regular-season victory against a 'Big Four' foe. Seventeen of those wins have happened over a ranked opponent as well.

Wake Forest marked its 21st time making the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament. The Deacs have advanced to the Round of 16 in six of the last seven seasons after defeating Radford and Auburn in the first and second rounds before falling to eventual NCAA finalist Kentucky.

The program has made it to the Finals the past two of four seasons. In 2018, the Demon Deacons earned their first National Championship by defeating Ohio State 4-2 in the Final at the Wake Forest Tennis Center. The Demon Deacons are 31-20 in NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament play all-time.

Nava collected his first ITA Singles All-America status by reaching the NCAA Singles Quarterfinals. He closed out his collegiate career after finishing the year ranked No. 39. He finished the year at 22-11 in overall singles action and was 19-10 in dual singles matches. He picked up nine combined ranked wins over his final year.

Schnaitter's 22 singles and 19 doubles combined dual wins this season led the team. He ended the season on a 17-match win streak in singles and 14-straight wins in doubles. Having also registered a total of 55 wins this year, Schanitter teamed up with Siddhant Banthia in the NCAA Doubles Championships. The duo reached the quarterfinals and earned All-American status.

Thomson finished the year with a perfect 11-0 in dual singles matches and an impressive 20-7 record in dual doubles matches. Overall, the junior from Winston-Salem collected 18 wins in singles and 23 wins in doubles for a combined 41 wins.
