The Wake Forest Men’s Golf Team Finishes Final Tournament of the Fall

Junior Marshall Meisel completed his second top-15 finish of the fall at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational.
ALPHARETTA, GA. - The Wake Forest men's golf team finished their final tournament of the fall schedule Sunday afternoon at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational.
During the final round, junior Marshall Meisel continued his stellar play at the Creekside Course. On the way to his top-15 finish, the junior recorded 11 birdies through all three rounds including two during the final 18 holes.
During the first round, Meisel carded a season-low 69 (-3) with five birdies and one eagle. The Chevy Chase, Md. native ended the tournament tied for 14th and shot 4-under-par.
Senior Michael Brennan ended his weekend with a strong third round at the Creekside Course. Brennan tallied five birdies through the final 18 holes. The senior shot a 69 (-3) during the third round of play in Georgia, his lowest of the tournament.
Sophomore Andrew McLauchlan ended his weekend with 39 pars putting him in third place in the field. Clay Stirsman and Meisel were tied for second in eagles recorded at the end of the weekend.
The Deacs close their fall season with a team title at the Highlands Invitational. Brennan also took home his seventh career individual title at Chicago Highlands.
The spring season will start on January 29th, 2024 at the Southwest Invitational hosted by Pepperdine at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.
