
Deacs Prepped for First Two Outdoor Meets of the Season

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — After an impressive indoor season for the Wake Forest men's and women's track and field teams, the Deacs are now set to kick off the outdoor season with a pair of meets this weekend. Some athletes will head to Charlotte to compete in the 49er Classic (Thurs., March 16 - Sat., March 18) and the others will participate in the Bill Webb Combined Events and Bob Davidson Memorial in High Point (Fri. March 17 - Sat. March 18).
The 49er Classic will take place at the Irwin Belk Track & Field Center and the Bill Webb/Bob Davidson Memorial will be at Vert Stadium.
The Bill Webb/Bob Davidson Memorial will be streamed on ESPN+ beginning Saturday, March 18 at 11:55 a.m.

Last Time Out - NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships
Andrew White represented Wake Forest at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships Friday night inside the Albuquerque Convention Center.
White claimed a second team All-America nod after a 13th place finish in the weight throw. He recorded a 21.15m, which ranks third in program history. The Canton, Ohio native now owns the top four weight throws in program history, all taking place this season.
Thomas Vanoppen joined White in earning second team All-America, after he clocked a 4:03.37 in the mile. The pair are the first All-Americans on the men's side since 2019.
